Black-Crowned Night Heron is watching something very closely. I had no intention of stopping at Wildwood Park that day but the truck found its favorite spot. So I checked out my favorite log and saw this. It was so imersed in what it was doing I was able to go back and get my rig and return to find it still there in the same pose. THE RESULTS was worth every second of the 2 hours I set on this bird waiting for something to happen. This bird was most likely fending for its young at a nearby rookery located near Harrisburg, Pa.
