Owls Caress.

Motionless
blue naked dressed
in earths caress
heavenly body blessed
on windless night
owl hooting your beauty
in retina light
standing guardian duty
cloud shrouds the moon
body shadows fade
slipping away to soon
alone in wooden glade.

I reach to body shadow gone
touch coldness there
owl hoots solomn as none
swoops down on wings so rare
shoulders at your feet
my lips kiss for memory
your body without heat
your heart departed free
beating as nature told
inside trees and streams
seeing through owl so old
your heart in every-ones dreams
a form lay nothing there.

Could I escape your passing
sphinx owl looking grinning
gently blinks crying
I see your soul
Inside the owl
in singing feathered gown
my life shadow blinks
owl swoops high down
passes through my chest deep in sinks
lifeless I fall prone
our bodies useless die
both inside the owl now we own
a thousand ghosts flying high.

One of my older poems amended 2014.

Owls Caress.
