Artist's Description

I do not think the measure of a civilization
is how tall its buildings of concrete are,
But rather how well its people have learned to relate
to their environment and fellow man.

Sun Bear of the Chippewa Tribe

I was an apprentice of Saundra Pathweaver for three years. Grandmother Pathweaver is a amazing medicine woman of Cherokee descent. She learned the secrets of the Medicine Wheel while she apprenticed with Sun Bear. Though Sun Bear has dropped his robes, he has left a legacy, his medicine wheel teachings. Sun Bear has written many books, including “Dancing with the Wheel” in which he thanks Pathweaver for her contribution.

Saundra Pathweaver founded the Buffalo Trace Society of which I am a part. For more information about Grandmother Pathweaver, type in “Saundra Pathweaver” in any search engine.
