GOD IS THIS FAIR?

Drenched in the confusion phyisically tired
Clutching his rickety bicycle spiritually unsure
Amidst the crowd that strut hither and titer
In protest lamenting to the high heaven
For three month’s salary unpaid
So called if in reality it could be
In utter scorn dozen police gave a hot chase
To the teeth they armed
For the pleasure of overfed men of wealth and power
Looking down always on the poor and powerless
The gun totters aimlessly they shot
At the meandering crowd like strayed cows
Hit him on bare fore head was a hard object
Down he went in pains as his bicycle fell on him
Amidst a pool of blood he struggled to stand again
To stand and run from the armed “friends”
Held down he felt like a ram for slaughter
By a force that was more powerful than him
Almost unnoticed by frightend protesters he kicked
And kicked the bucket in the process
In poverty, miserability and unpaid wage
But dear God, is this fair?

GOD IS THIS FAIR?
