I like taking visitors (mainly from the Netherlands) to Como Bridge.
" Located on the southern banks of the Georges River, Como is also bounded to the west by the Woronora River. The shoreline features Bonnet Bay, Scylla Bay and Carina Bay. "
" Como Bridge is a railway and footbridge that crosses the Georges River here. The original railway bridge is now used by pedestrians and cyclists. "
I explain that it’s not perhaps as spectacular as Sydney Harbour ….
….or the beaches but just pleasant, southern Sydney, with quiet, pleasant views (Apart from the occasional train rushing by.)
I like telling them that Henry Lawson is said to have stayed at the Come Hotel.
