Artist's Description

Turret Arch is just one of over 2,000 documented arches in Arches National Park. You’ll find Turret in The Windows Section of the park, an area that according to UtahArches.com holds 22 arches. But to be more precise, Turret is actually 2 arches. As you meander through desert landscape over red dirt and around time ravaged trees to get a closer look at Turret Arch North, you start to see a spot of blue sky peeking through the rock directly to its right. This view of sky is through Turret Arch South, a smaller secondary arch. Geologists speculate that in a few hundred thousand years or so erosion will probably join both Turret Arch North and South to create one larger arch.
