Artist's Description

Castle Geyser erupts about once every 9 to 11 hours, sending superheated water 60-90 feet (18-27 m) into the air for about 20 minutes, followed by a steam phase lasting another 30-40 minutes. When that steam blows through a sunny afternoon, the breeze can float steam-laced rainbows across the landscape of Upper Geyser Basin.
