A bumble bee forages among the small flowers of a Salal bush on Pender Island, BC, Canada, while I busily focus on her with my Nikon D700 and very cool Nikkor 200 mm f4 macro lens, handheld (not easy). I nailed the shutter speed to capture the movement of her wings in the sunlight, which is what I was trying to do. Of course, this took more than a hundred shots to accomplish. I love shooting macro! For this image, I used these camera settings: IS0 1250, +0.33 EV, f10, 1/1250).
