Artist's Description

This little treasure found me 11 years ago. She was just a kitten when she came to my door. I fed her, but not wanting too much responsibility, left her outside. She was there in the morning. I fed her again before going to work. While I didn’t want pet ownership responsibilities, I half hoped she would still be outside my door when I returned in the evening after work. She was. I posted a notice in my apartment, not wanting to be guilty of keeping someone’s kitten from them. A week passed, a week where “Kitty”, as I called her then, lived with me in my bachelor pad. We were bonding, that was clear. But I needed a name. My baby was travelling in Asia at the time. Over the phone, all the way from Japan, my little girl suggested a Japanese name, Oshi, and Oshi she is. She is lying beside me as I write this. We are completely enmeshed with one another. I wish she could be with me for my lifetime. Introducing Oshi to you.
