Chapter II On The Run

I knew what my parent’s meant by the lesson not to come home. It wasn’t that they were throwing me out of the house, it meant that I needed to be escorted in. However, the things that transpired Friday night was something more that normal. I needed to find the evidence that would free me and show that my parents were innocent of any wrong doing.I had to get rid of the scooter before the noise alerted somebody of my whereabouts. I had to wipe the blood from my clothes before it brought me an infection of some kind. The woods nearby was the perfect place to hide for the time being. I was scared and I had to gather my thoughts before I did something more irrational. My scooter might come of use later on so I made sure that I kept it in one piece. I also didn’t want anybody to find it and to trace it there, or they would know that I had gone further up the mountain side where I knew of a place to hide. I needed some time to watch the movement of my friends and up the mountain side was as good as any.I brought along a pair of binoculars because those so called friends had me all figured out. They had deviced a devious plan to let me take the rap. I could see it all in my head, but their evil plan was working. I took the bait and as I gazed into the magnifying optical glasses. I had seen them loading a large bundle into the back of my parent’s sports car.My head felt like it was going to explode after the contraction they had put in my drink. I couldn’t remember much at that tme until I came to. However, I had snuck out of the house when they were not looking. By the time they realized I was gone it was too late to make sudden changes to the scence of the crime. Now it was up to me to figure the clues that they might have left behind.I had made an attempt to contact my parents over the cell phone and numberous times I got the answering service. The only logically answer had to have been that the batteries were dead. My mistake however, had been to call the house phone and when I did one of my friends had picked it up. He tried to coach me into coming home unknowing that I was watching from a distance.Shortly after they left the police started to show up. I saw two units and by the way the other two unmarked cars with dark windows showed up later, I suspected that the government had already been contacted. I had to ditch my cell phone somewhere before they could trace me with it. And to top it all I could also see my friends showing up at my house looking for me and acting like they had just arrived.I am sure they were also checking to see if they had left any evidence behind that could be traced to them. Boy, they had it all planned out. Even the clothes they were wearing did not match the ones they had been wearing Friday night. The look in their concerned for me could fool anyone. I felt like running out there, but the way they were carrying on with the law inforcement it was me against them. The deck was stack.
