Silent Ink

It came to me in silence
while I slept with opened eyes,
Staring from moisten lens
into a window pane that never dries.

Clear was the message
that the transparent ink had written,
A glass with a vision
for only me as it was hidden.

A glare from the sun
showed an image of myself,
And on the other side of the glass
was the story of my internal health.

Tears fell on the window pane
as my eyes blinked for a rest,
My mind could see beyond it
as my eyes had passed the test.

There was no frame for the pane
that was floating in front of my face,
Yet I could sense a home attachment
even though there was not a trace.

Suddenly it disappeared from view
as I cleared my tears with my hands,
And I felt a revelation had transpired
as I felt like my future was to be a better man.
