A New Life Is Born

The green trees had lost there color
As the snow drenched them in white.
Leaves had long left their perch
And had died vanishing out of sight.

Blistering wind scarred the winter bark
While the elusive sun stayed away.
And creatures that had nested within
Had mistaken their life’s to stay.

There would be no future generations
If the harsh elements did not ceased.
The bitter cold and freezing winter
Was at the brink of bringing peace.

After a year an iceberg broke free
And drifted with a tree on it’s back.
It traveled across the melting ocean
Landing where new life nothing lacked.
