Artist's Description

I first caught Mad Max as a young adult. It blew me away! I saw the American dubbed version but the imagery is the same. As an artist, I felt this movie was a graphic comic-come-to-life. It’s so well shot and told. The story is so moving and you feel the terror more than any modern day slasher movie, in my opinion.
I’ve always wanted to remake Mad Max as a cartoon, with all the grit and speed it uses but never had the outlet or the time. Things aren’t that much different now with time but RedBubble allows me to display my work to more people saving me the expense of creating my own zine and distributing it.
I’ve been sketching a lot lately at work so I decided this treatment didn’t need the final colored, inked version, this would do.
My inspiration for this design comes from the movie posters of the 70’s grindhouse flicks. A poster which depicts the story summed up without revealing too much. Kind of like the original Star Wars poster with all the key players shown in their dramatic poses.
This is the ‘revenge’ version.
