Artist's Description

Matt Boddington and Steve Slater’s WW1 Royal Aircraft Factory BE.2c replica was built in 1969 by Matt’s father Charles. Registered G-AWYI it is painted as 347, an early Royal Flying Corps machine which was a rebuilt BE.2a. Matt is seen taxyng the machine at Old Warden. The BE biplanes were known in service as “The Quirk”.
