Artist's Description

Built in the late 1930s as a radio-controlled gunnery target this Queen Bee survives and is pictured barnstorming at Wickenby. The design is basically a DH82 Tiger Moth I but with a redesigned all-wood fuselage construction based on that of the DH60 Moth. The wireless remote control equipment, now removed, was originally fitted in the rear cockpit.
