Artist's Description

Built in 1928, I M White’s DH.60M Moth G-AAHY is pictured with wings folded at the Light Aircraft Association Rally at Cranfield in 1985. The DH.60M version of the ubiquitous Moth was originally designed for use in the colonies and had the wooden rear fuselage structure replaced by metal tubes. It was often referred to by the unofficial name “Metal Moth”. G-AAHY has been restored in the livery of its original owner, the Brooklands Flying Club.
