One day on my travels down Castro St., a store was getting rid of this tri-fold free-standing card rack, out on the street for anyone who had a use for it. Well, I lugged it the 3 blocks up the hill and for years it was perfect leaning along a long hallway wall, displaying my favorite one of a kind postcards at the top, as well as received cards, and even magazines at the bottom. When I stopped card making, it was a bit overkill and so it was time for it to go on it’s merry way.
Here it is waiting for my friend Lisa who, with her suburban-type auto, has offered to drive it to one of the artists at Clarion Alley to display his artwork. A still life tribute to a bygone time.
With ginger, honeysuckle, and an unknown deco ceramic teapot made in Czechoslovakia.
