Artist's Description

Origami was an eccentricity of the blade runner Gaff in Ridley Scott’s visionary film adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.”

Edward James Olmos played Gaff in “Blade Runner” and reportedly began doing the folded paper figures while in the background of the scene with Deckard and police captain Bryant — the chicken! It caught they eye of the director and they decided to keep it in the film as a facet of the character.
