Artist's Description

The schooner Thomas E. Lannon is patterned after the mighty schooners of Rudyard Kipling’s Captains Courageous. Build two-thirds the scale of the full sized schooners built in Essex and rigged in Gloucester, Massachusetts, the Lannon keeps the maritime tradition alive.

This wonderful image is part of Steve Borichevsky’s Maritime New England series.
