WWZ:Sgt. JohnKeller's story

Date: 5/23/06
Time: Unknown
Area: Somewhere in the Mt.Alto Area
I write this since I am in hiding since the war has truly begun, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the dead are walking…. I myself couldn’t believe this until they came in masses of putrid, rotten-smelling hordes, ripping apart anything that they could pull down, even my family was taken by them… I grabbed my hunting rifle and his colt 1911 from the safe, grabbed all of the supplies I could from the basement, and loaded up my truck and drove out here…I unloaded all of my gear and hid it away…then I ran from the truck and waited to see if anything, Human or otherwise, would come to investigate. I think I waited at least 2 hours before I finally decided that it was safe. I was able to build a makeshift camp near a crash site I found, I checked the area for anything before deeming it safe. This will do until I can build a better one. I shall begin looking for a spot tomorrow, and then make my new, permanent home.

I was finally able to find a secure spot and built a decent base by cleaning out an old cave inaccessible to anyone without the proper gear. I have begun to build the F.O.B. and have spent much of my time scouting for survivors; I was able to find the crew, or at least who was left… The survivor was a loadmaster on the plane. He told me that they ran out of fuel after narrowly escaping their base that was being overrun by the mobs of people and undead. The Pilot was killed on impact, but the rest of them had been running from the undead horde. The Co-Pilot, Navigator and the other Loadmaster had succumbed to the mass. He was all that was left. He said his name was John Felshwitz, but I just ended up calling him “Sarge”, since living with my old man, I had come to know the bars for a Staff Sergeant. He was ironically, very skilled at rock-climbing. But hey, what can you expect from a soldier??
