Artist's Description

This piece is a re-work of ( untitled2 )
I am fascinated by the complexity and infinite posibilities of a paradox. Take, for example, The Liar Paradox
and Curry’s paradox .
Looking around me recently I realised how many of us use our own paradoxes to manipulate both lies and truths, using one to create or destroy the other, blurring or building the boundaries between the two.
Further reading and thought on this subject led me to believe that in the end, truth or lie, the situation rarely matters, only your understanding of it and reaction to it are important. Is a lie still a lie if you believe it to be true? Is the truth still as pure if nobody believes it? Paradox or not, in the end we are the sum of our lies and our truths and we alone are the only ones who truly know which is which. Each can be presented and interpreted to be itself or the opposite, both to ourselves and others. Despite the emphasis we place and the importance the differences hold, sometimes our truth and lies are as indistinguishable from each other every bit as much as we intend them to stand alone.
Believe what you want… but it’s the truth. Honestly, it is, but if you dont believe me, ask yourself.
