Artist's Description

A Sepia image of on old British locomotive waiting for passengers.

Taken on the preserved Great Central Railway at Loughbrough, England, The locomotive dates from the early 1900s and the station has been left in a 1950/60s British Railways setting. Further down the line are time capsule stations (depots) in the WWII and Edwardian periods.

The shot was taken in colour with a film camera in about 1999. I later digitally scanned the image. The camera was on automatic exposure settings, but I changed it to sepia in photoshop as that best suited period of the image I had captured.

I think this truly captures a bygone era as there is no medernity in it.
