Artist's Description

“Colonial Drive In Theater” shot on Kodak Ektachrome slide film in either 1997 or 1998. The drive in was located on Route 51 in Pleasant Hills, PA, South of Pittsburgh. It was named for the Colonial House which it replaced. The theater closed down in 1985 never to reopen. This area once was home to three drive in theaters; the Colonial, the Echo, and the South Hills. The property is slated for development and is to be known as…Colonial Commons.
