Artist's Description

Polaroid emulsion transfer of some unusual “graffiti” as part of an assemblage.
This is one of four pieces of this type that I have left over from a group show. The others were all sold before I could document them. This was very much of an experiment for me as I’d never done this kind of work before or since…for some reason the muse has left me on this type of work. I’ve not been able to get it to “gel” again…

The “Decoys” were once found all over Pittsburgh. They were painted in every conceiveable colour. Sometimes found in groups, some times alone. These latter day petroglyphs were always placed by the artist with an eye towards the aesthetic. Some of the “framing” device used in their various locales were quite good. I’ll be posting more of these later on…
