“Come let us Play”

“Come let us Play”

It is Sunday morning no homework
No housework
No one wants to play Mama
Why?
Because they own a TV
And they watch shows and eat in front of it
Does the government make them Mama?
No my child they do it themselves
Well Mama I am putting on my tap shoes
And I will tap for you and sing
Okay dear one let it be

Of how I loved Mama for that
And she would sing
“Their aren’t no easy way child
With your attitude, your smile
You will break through
The barriers
All the way to Dixie
Then Pakistan
When I am grown
to tap-dance with my husband

How I love you, how I love you Mama
