Teenage Nomad

The grass is greener over there,
Can’t you smell that clean fresh air,
I’ll jump that fence without a care,
For the grass is greener over there.

There’s more love behind that door,
Ever lasting love I’m sure,
I think that’s what I’m searching for,
The love that lies behind that door.

Life looks better where you stand,
Pull me over, take my hand,
No, this isn’t what I’d planned,
Life’s no better where you stand.

Artist's Description

October 1995 – The Grass was always greener else where for me and I often got myself into sticky situations because of it. The original title was ‘Jump’ but I changed it a few years later, after my mum accused me of acting like a teenage nomad while I was still in my mid thirties!
