Artist's Description

This beautiful bridge was constructed from 1769 to 1774 and connected the city of Bath, in Somerset county, with the land of the Pulteney family. It has shops lining the full span on both sides and was designed in the Palladian style by Robert Adam. The bridge is 148 feet ( 45 meters ) by 58 feet ( 18 meters ) wide.
