This is Miami’s Wynwood district, also the traditional home of Miami’s Garment District. It’s an old section of town just north of the skyscrapers of downtown Miami, occupied by one and two story warehouses/factories that are mostly in a prolonged state of slow decline. Adding to the desolation of the scene, I captured this image on a quiet Sunday morning with tropical storm clouds looming in the distance. Many of the businesses in this district are closed/abandoned, and slowly the area is being overtaken by artist studios and weekend night foodtrucks.
