Artist's Description

Elephant Butte Dam and Powerplant, built between 1912 and 1940, is 1,674 feet long and 301 feet tall with a concrete surface area of 36,521 acres. This is the Rio Grande River near Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, US. The Dam is operated by the U.S. Department of the Interior.

I shot this photo from the road between Truth or Consequences and the new Spaceport America.
