Artist's Description

Jimbo’s bait shack on Virginia Key, just off shore from downtown Miami, is a fading landmark. The site seems to have collected some relics over the years, including this very colorful school bus and it’s sidekick, the squashed bug. Jimbo’s may be gone soon, so this pair of graffiti treasures may also disappear.

Accessible by following the signs to Virginia Key Beach on the Rickenbacker Causeway, drive past the beach, and Jimbo’s is hidden away in the center of the island.

I’ve captured the image with three exposures using a Canon 5D and a Tamron 28-300 VC lens, and used Photomatix on my Mac to tonemap it.
