Artist's Description

This is the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral in the main plaza at the heart of Mexico City… the Plaza de la Constitución. The scene was captured on a busy weekday with open markets placed around the plaza under umbrellas, and the typical traffic whipping past as if on “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” … a chaotic scene filled with the sounds of car horns, Aztec shamen performing cleansing rites, street performers, and haggling merchants, and the odor of incense, car exhaust, and roasted meats on the breeze.

Captured using a Canon Powershot SD10 “Digital ELPH” at equivalent 39mm ISO400 f/2.8. Converted to Black and White in Aperture using a red filter.
