Artist's Description

This is the historic steel lift bridge connecting Miami Springs to Hialeah over the Miami Canal which becomes the Miami River just a short ways to the east. The bridge was constructed in the 1920’s, but now only serves a fixed-bridge purpose having been decommissioned long ago as a lift bridge for boat traffic. The canal is managed by the South Florida Water Management District and no longer carries boat traffic.

Miami Springs, Florida, USA
