Artist's Description

The Florida Everglades is criss-crossed with water management canals. This scene can be found along Interstate Highway 75 which links Miami to Naples. Here you can see sawgrass, cabbage palms, and lily pads… all typical to these inland waterways. You can also see the top of a Dade County pine tree just behind the palm stand. Brush in the forefront is mixed pond apple and brazilian pepper (Florida Holly- an invasive species).

Taken within Everglades National Park, Florida, USA.
