Artist's Description

Along the streets of Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, many relics of its Garment District days of long ago still remain. This is the “Paris” fashion shop in the heart of the district, displaying stark black plastic mannequins sporting all-white garments. The sun was striking the lower half of the mannequins, and the upper half was in shade… by slightly overexposing the shot, the shading seems more gradual, and the detail on the wall surface stands out at the top. I really like how it then fades to bright white at the bottom. Also, somehow when I shot this I didn’t notice the center mannequin “staring” right at me … realizing that when I had them developed was sort of a creepy surprise!
