Mt.Macedon, WWI Memorial Cross

At the summit of Mt.Macedon stands the 21-metre (69ft) Memorial Cross. The cross was erected in the 1930’s by a private citizen, Mr William Cameron, to commemorate those who died in World War I. It is considered Victoria’s most significant war memorial after the Shrine of Remembrance in St.Kilda Rd Melbourne.
