Artist's Description

Jade Belt Bridge – Summer Palace, Beijing China 2006

Built during Emperor Qianlong’s reign (1736-1795), this high and thin bridge was named Jade Belt Bridge because its body and railings are made of gray white or white marble which combine to resemble a jade belt. This is one of the six bridges on the Western Shore on Kunming Lake, Summer Palace, Beijing China.
