Masquerade
A soothsayer is he, his voice a delightful hum, a slippery displayer parading in the shade, I woo and coo the electric blue and whisper in his ear, “how striking you are my friend, my mind is all a plume, let me muster a mask, fabulous and festooned” his clutching claw holds me in high esteem, night and day on my tail, pecking my bloody feet in devotion, and fanning aspirations and I whisper again..
“Life is a masquerade, a peacock parade, but we always pay the price, time is not by our side and a youth is fleeting”
His Attitude is marked by occasion and peacock impersonate me daily, in a wonderful deceptive fan dance that’s sultry, gyrating and spellbinding, but the pleasures is only momentary, it can never last and tickles your fancy’s in all the wrong places, peacock and me a perform a tango through the night in a lucid dream state, lost in our own personal wilderness and we twirl and sing till exhaustion…

This masquerade is a peacock parade, an illusion that is life, I’m weatherworn, feathered tarred and torn, of this egocentric trouble and strife
Peacock he’s the epicentre of my longings with all its wants flamboyance and desires, it’s futile, we strut and then slump, grind and bump our way back home to the sun rise, peacock is blinded by insight, ego explodes and energy fills my hands and chest and the I in me expands and feathered friends fades away and I call to the sky..
Life is a masquerade a peacock parade, and I adore this teacher the peacock preacher for leading me astray…

I am captivated by his beauty with many watchtower eyes he hypnotises and always steals a look, a jaded hook, waiting for me to falter, masking my true nature, underneath this circus is a void a connection to all, I observe him back and gently tuck him under my wing and sing him a soothing silent hymn…
“ You’re just a masquerade, a peacock parade and I am weary of this life, shhh sleep peacock sleep while I gentle slip away back home to the sun rise”..
