The wolf bites the raven--part 1

Awakened abruptly by a noise coming from the room below him, he jumped up out of bed to find the source of the disturbance. Shirt off and face drenched with sweat he raced down the hall, rampaged down the stairs, through grand room, and barged into the room that was below his own. His nocturnal eyes scoured the darkness for the female student to whom the quarter was assigned. After a few short minutes he realized that the source of the disturbance was the window opening and the female student sneaking out through it.2

He turned around suddenly to the sound of footsteps behind him.3

AH! “Wolf you scared me, what’s wrong?”4

“That girl snuck out with some guy.”5

“Did you see him Wolf?”6

“Nah but I smelt him, Raven, he’s planning something.”7

“Why would you think that?”8

“Because he’s wearing so much cologne it could kill an asthmatic.”9

“What’s going on Wolf…Raven?”10

“That girl snuck out, I told you not to put students on the first floor.”11

“Well excuse me for not listening, but as if she wouldn’t have gotten out from the second story window.”12

“Well she might have, Scott, but she would have broke something.”13

“Raven, do you think you could follow her?”14

“Yeah I guess, Wolf.”15

He waited for Raven to return pacing right up to the point when she came back to the school with the girl at hand.16

“Umm can I go to bed since you guys have officially killed whatever remained of my crippled social life?”17

“No, but you can clean out your room.”18

“What you guys can’t send me home; I didn’t break anything except the curfew please don’t send me home.”19

“Suck it up kid you’re just getting moved up stairs and you will be confined to your new room for one month not to leave except to go to school, eat, and use the restroom.”20

Humph! “But that’s not fair."21

“Well then you should have chosen to sleep tonight.”22

He stared as the girl stormed off to pack her things. Then he took a side glance at Raven as if he was asking her something.23

“Wolf she was heading to a rave with a bunch of teen drunks and pot heads.”24

“Ok then she is really lucky that you told me this after she left my sight.”25

“I’m going to go supervise the rave if it is okay with you?”26

“Yeah it’s ok just be careful.”27

Slightly dazed, but mostly half asleep he followed her shadow as it passed through the front door. Ready to go back to sleep he was half way through his bedroom door when he heard something that disturbed him. As he heard it again he raced down the stairs transforming into this beautiful wild black wolf on the way. 28

He ran past Scott unaware of his presence. Reaching the cool outside winter air he found Raven lying shot on the ground. Fueled with anger he sniffed out the trail of the trespasser that had shot his fiancé. Finding the shooter, he attacked him so brutally you could feel the angels turning away their eyes. 29

Holding the shooter’s partner at his mercy, Wolf was about to give the shooter’s partner the same fate when Scott came out of the shadows and reminded him that the guy wasn’t worth it and that he, Wolf, was the only one that could save Raven.30

After what must have been hours Wolf walked out of the medical station to report Raven was going to be fine. 31
