Previously unknown to bicycle historians, the mountain farthing was believed to have originated when Maynard Barnacle a well known penny farthing exponent accidentally piloted his steed off the edge of a viewing area on the summit of Mt Stromlo, Canberra in October 1892. Having coughed his bollocks up en route to the first successful freeride descent, he decided that there must be a more comfortable way to get down a hill. What he invented in his back shed was known as the mountain farthing. As you can see from the picture he was more than 100 years ahead of the huge bike conglomerates in creating a 20 inch front air sprung shock and a 12 inch rear coil suspension.
For some reason it didn't catch on, and these remarkable ideas didn't resurface until Gary Fisher stole the original blueprints from a garage sale in Curtin in 1982.

This shirt is comfortable, yet fashionable! It is made of soft cotton, but did not shrink when washed! I highly recommend it!
