Triptychs

Most of my photos from Japan are intended for display as a set of three. There’s a sort of balance in a triptych that I’ve always found appealing.

First t-shirt designs.

I uploaded my first set of t-shirt designs (jelly-chicken and chick-in-jelly). I made the actual designs quite a while ago, but never really did anything with them until I setup on RedBubble.

I was a little disappointed that there isn’t an option for single-colour prints (where you can select which colours are appropriate)… or maybe there is an I missed it (?).

First Post!

Just signed up to Redbubble after coming across it via a local artist’s blog.

My first series of images will be photos from a recent trip to Japan. The primary focus of the series is on patterns in the environment, which I found to be interestingly different in Japan (often in very subtle ways).

Here’s a blurb from my first upload Tokyo Tower by night :

During a recent trip to Japan I was enamoured by all the different shapes and textures within the environment. Rather than take photos that capture large-scale objects, I aimed to take photos that capture the beauty of patterns and colours.
