Hi there! My name’s Sharon… or Nicole, depending on how long you’ve known me. I’m a midwestern poet and artist with roots in Northeastern Nebraska. I Graduated from Wayne State College (Wayne, Nebraska) in 2015 with a bachelor of science degree in studio art, minoring in editing and publishing. I am currently graduate assistant for the WSC Press at Wayne State, earning an MSE in English education as I go. After my MSE, I plan to go to obtain my MFA in art, with an emphasis in either painting or sculpture. The ultimate, super supreme fudge-covered-with-sprinkles-on-top career goal is to teach art and possibly writing or editing in a college someplace, someday.

I originate from a tiny farm near Allen, Nebraska, where I fell in love with creating and dreaming while playing among the rows of corn and broken down Fords. One of my favorite hobbies is photographing the abandoned houses in the area that live among the dirt roads. I also really dig long bike rides and writing poetry and short stories about what it feels like to be a space cowboy.

I have a very skinny husband named Vito, a very fat cat named Pig, and a baby girl named Stevie. They are the love in my life that inspires me to keep creating art.
