Artist's Description

Les Paul ’burst, Heritage finish, with alnico vintage humbuckers and stunning tone…a screamer.

Went from being a guitar many had no interest in – going price around US$200 in the late ’50’s/very early 60’s – to an iconic guitar by 1963/4, thanks to Eric Clapton and other great LP blues players of the time.

With values well beyond $1M these days for the finest surviving examples from that era, players such as Slash, Joe Perry, Steve Lukather and Jimmy Page are sitting on extremely valuable instruments. And in every case, they play them rather than bank-vault them …for that, we should be extremely grateful.
