Artist's Description

The day is cold, windy and wet. Victorian Railways locomotive K160 has rolled in to Castlemaine station, in central Victoria. The sky is turning black with a storm brewing.

The Guard of the train approaches the driver to discuss the next movements of the day. These two characters themselves bring an element of the relaxed way of life on the railways, while always keeping to time – the trusty old wrist watch on the drivers arm. Soon the train shall depart to its destination, Maldon.
