Glass Houses - An Internal View

Entombed in fractured glass my arm, head, heart feels heavy,
I deserve the harsh sunlight,
I deserve the deficient privacy.

I can throw anything I want,
I do throw anything I want,
I’m deadly accurate with my pitch.

My arm is a slingshot,
Cocked and loaded,
Always ready……..

On edge I sit as the ceiling starts to splinter,
The walls bow,
My crystal clear Claytons castle shakes uneasily.

If I stay here I’ll be showered in glass,
I can’t stay here,
I won’t stay here.

Drop that stone,
Let my arm, head, heart lighten,
Let the winds of change carry me as that house shatters in my past.
