Artist's Description

Poppies is one of the earliest paintings by an American Impressionist to rival the work of the French Impressionists.
Robert William Vonnoh (September 17, 1858 – 1933) was an American Impressionist painter known for his portraits and landscapes. He traveled extensively between the American East Coast and France, more specifically the artists colony Grez-sur-Loing.
