Night and Day

I am the night whilst you are the day,
You are so grounded I am so fey.
We’re opposite sides of one mortal coin,
both faces unite, desperate to join.
I desire a pass, to enter thy soul,
apart we’re divided, together we’re whole.

More balanced we are than the scales in the sky,
I pray we are locked until we both die.
It’s not just for lust, but more so for Love,
we’re Two wings in flight, like those of a Dove.
The Yin and the Yang, covet our link,
Save thy sweet words, I hear what you think.

Those Lovers of Venice, couldn’t compare,
with feelings profound, requited we share.
Nor could Great Paris with Helen of Troy,
be blessed by our rapture, this absolute joy.
Perhaps Aphrodite possessed some idea,
of this peerless heart, i’m holding so near.

Please don’t deny me or lay me thus low,
For Cupid has struck my breast with his bow.
The thought of you absent, I hate to admit,
would leave me like Daniel alone in the pit.
So Stay by my side and never depart,
for you I commend with my beating heart.
