Artist's Description

The wreck of the Mary Rose , King Henry VIII ’s favourite ship has been being sprayed with water & wax for years to preserve her timbers. What you see here is the INSIDE of the ship with lights from the gantry on the OUTSIDE of the ship throwing light through the open Gun holes.
Taken through Glass, with the camera hard against the glass at 100 ISO. It was VERY dark so this is a long exposure! You can see the water sprays quite clearly.

www.maryrose.org says, "The Mary Rose is the only 16th century warship on display anywhere in the world. Built between 1509 and 1511, she was one of the first ships able to fire a broadside, and was a firm favourite of King Henry VIII. "
