THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD

A child has such faith, he will leap from a chair. With your arms stretched out, he knows you’ll be there. No wonder God tells us to come as we are,It is that child-like faith that carries us far.We need to realize and look through their eyes; This world is such a scary place to be.They must feel so little and useless at times,When they stand in a crowd and can’t see.Children need us to guide them, to shelter them from harm.Children sometimes so helpless a butterfly causes alarmChildren; that’s what God calls us and he is wisest of all.Grown-ups; we all need a father to catch us after we fallIf we looked at God through the eyes of a childWe would talk to him each scary day.We would ask him to help us, to teach and protect us;We would ask him to show us the way.If only we would look through the eyes of a child,We would realize how tough it must be;To not understand why some big people hateWhen love is given for free.Neil S.
