waves of light,
in the dark of night,
guiding my way of sight,
to shun the darkness to bright…

in the shadows lurks a knight
hiding, ready to pounce! to fright!

o light…
shine…, yes shine to a blazing height,
cover him with your flames of might…

alas…!!

now!… retreats he, in shadows, plight
in askance of the blinding light,
back to the abyss like a drunken mite…

o waves of light…
indeed a good fight,
frightened have you, the dark knight…
another laurel for being right,
vision, acumen and insight!!!!
