Artist's Description

LOOK AT THOSE CLAWS!

The expressive stance here made me wonder if he was getting ready to fight. He did not like my camera flash. I was intrigued that his eyes reflected different light, one and the other. I suspect one of his eyes has a cataract in it, but I’m not certain.

At one point, one of the cats came and sniffed the Coon’s hinder part, and the Coon turned around ready to harm my kitty. So I’m trying not to put too much food out at night any more. The kittens don’t know to be afraid of this critter. So I talked to them about it, and I hope they understood. But I think the sniffer realized, “THAT is NOT a CAT!” They are trying to figure it out. Last night, one cat was curled up not far from the Coon. I’m afraid if one night there is no cat food, the Coon will go for the cat! So I have to keep an eye on it. How do I teach my kitties that this is a dangerous little beast, dangerous to THEM?
